Emily's Birthday

Emily just turned 10 yesterday. She had a big party on Saturday with all her friends. It was very successful and she got a lot of good birthday loot. I've discovered that a great way to entertain a group of 10-year-old girls for hours on end is to have them play Karaoke Revolution.

On the diet and exercise front, I missed almost a whole week of exercise since I came down with a nasty cold last week. I'm just starting to get over it so I think I'll be able to workout tonight or tomorrow. My eating is going great. I did eat a tiny piece of Emily's birthday cake even though it had milk and eggs in it. I would've made it myself but my vegan baking skills aren't quite where they need to be yet. I did manage to resist the tater tot casserole that Emily asked me to make for her birthday dinner yesterday. After I pulled it out of the oven and saw all the grease pooling on top, it didn't look quite as appetizing as I remember it. Sean said it was really good but really heavy. He's kind of gotten used to the vegetarian food I've been cooking over the last few weeks. I've decided that my long term goal for eating is to cook all vegan food at home and allow myself small amounts of cheese and eggs at restaurants once I get down to a healthy weight.

Here's what I ate yesterday:

B: WW toast with non-hydrodenated margarine
L: veggie burger on a WW bun with zucchini
S: celery sticks
D: veggie riblets, tater tots, salad, dressing
S: rice dream
